Matt has spent his life immersed in the world of making. His hands are his most valuable tools, and he's spent countless hours honing his craft, building everything from furniture to robots. Matt is driven by a deep desire to understand how things work, to take them apart and put them back together again in new and innovative ways.
Despite his broad range of skills and experiences, Matt often describes himself as a jack of all trades but a master of none. He's earned degrees and diplomas from some of the most prestigious institutions in the country, including BCIT, UBC, and Yorkville University, and has worked in the trades. He is currently teaching trades to others, passing on his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of makers.
What sets Matt apart is his ability to blend the old with the new. He has a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship and can often be found working with hand tools and natural materials. But he's also at the forefront of new technology, constantly experimenting with the latest gadgets and gizmos. He's just as comfortable programming a robot as he is with a hammer and nails.
As a content creator, Matt is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to expand his skillset. He's a true DIY enthusiast, always eager to learn new techniques and explore new mediums. He's currently working with The Random Maker, a DIY content creation platform that's looking to revolutionize the world of making. Matt is the content director and public face of the company, responsible for shaping the direction of the company's content and engaging with the maker community.
